Reiki 2: Okuden After the Shoden course, the student is meant to practice on himself/herself. When a basis of belief and balance has been reached, then it is time to take ones’ development to a new energy level. Okuden works on a deeper level with what you have learnt in Shoden and provides you with more tools: working with mantras (Jumon), symbols (Shirushi), and many more traditional Japanese techniques and meditations, as well as a Reiki Crystal. Time, space and distances are bridged and your Reiki healings become more powerful. Reiki Crystal Workshop For all Reiki 2 practitioners. Using a personally attuned Reiki Crystal will give your long distance Reiki healings extra power and possibilities. The Reiki Crystal is not part of the traditional Japanese Reiki system. However it is such a wonderful tool, that I could not withhold it from other Reiki practitioners.
For every individual there is the right time to take the next step to the next energy level. Shinpiden means “mystery teachings” and is the third and final level of the Reiki system. In line with Mikao Usui’s teachings, Shinpiden focuses on personal development and the student is taught the last elements of the Reiki system: Symbol 4 (Shirushi) with accompanying mantra (Jumon), how to give Reiju and the initiations for all levels, and traditional Shinpiden techniques and meditations. After Shinpiden, all the aspects of the Reiki system become an integral part of the students’ life and the student may call himself/herself a Reiki Master/Teacher (Shihan). The title of Master did not exist during Usui’s time. This title came into existence during the transfer of knowledge from East to West.
